THE STRANGER--ALBERT CAMUS
A great depiction of "ABSURDISM",Indifference and Alienation, and Existentialism by french existentialist philosopher Albert Camus.
The novel is divided into two parts: the first focuses on Meursault’s everyday existence, including the death of his mother, his romantic relationship, and his involvement in a seemingly senseless murder. The second part deals with his trial, where society judges him more for his indifference to social norms than for his crime.
The Stranger invites readers to ponder life’s meaning, or lack thereof, and how much of our lives are shaped by societal expectations versus our individual choices. It’s a deeply introspective read that forces us to confront uncomfortable truths about human existence, justice, and authenticity.
