The longest novel of AYN RAND. Just like how Howard Roark is the ideal representation of Ayn Rand's Objectivism; Similarly Dagny Taggart, henry Rearden, John Galt and many more are the tenets of Objectivism who are represented in the world of Atlas Shrugged.
A great many doubts and criticism of Objectivism, "Whether it is applicable or not?" , " is it worthy are not?" are answered in this philosophical fiction.Even though felt bored at few pages, it is worthy to read till the end.
My favourite line's include:
- I swear, by my life and my love of it, that i will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for me.
- I started my life with a single absolute: that the world was mine to shape in int image of my highest values and never to be given up to a lesser standard, no matter how long or hard the struggle.
Atomized Individuality, love for life, rational selfishness, guiltless, fearless ,Confidence build not through affirmations but by reason are the virtue's of characters, that never disappoints us but make's us check our premises before we ponder about what the life is.
